The Juniper Crossing Crew

Hey ya’ll! Kayli here. Originally from Houston, I now call Lubbock home, and couldn’t be more grateful for this community! It’s a big small town that keeps me grounded and growing. When I’m not at the office, you can find me with friends, exploring our little city, or working in the yard. I’m also a yoga practitioner, a lover of coffee, fur mom to the two pictured below (and to a feisty Calico cat), and an amateur backpacker. Any/all of these things fill me up, grow my roots deep and bring me so much joy!

This big goof is a 6 year old Great Dane. Clearly he was so excited for his introduction, he even wore his best hat! Smokie rarely meets any living creature that he doesn't just absolutely love, and he is the best at showing it. This lazy boy also loves to be pet, loves attention, loves naps, and most of all - loves annoying Levi - typical brothers! Sounds like the perfect fit for a therapy dog to me. Smokie currently comes to the office with me 2-3 times a week - he’ll met you with a tail wag and with the hopes that you’ll save a seat for him on the couch!

Levi is a 4 year old Lab/Red Lacy mix. He is full of joy and playful energy, and committed to making every day his very best. He is loving and will do almost anything for a tasty treat. Dogs typically operate off of cause an effect - meaning they mirror the energy we give off. And their senses are much more highly tuned than ours - so we can only imagine how much they pick up on at any given moment! Levi is learning how to offer companionship, comfort, and even healthy distraction - give him a ball, and you may earn a permanent partner to play fetch!

Currently, Levi is on hiatus from joining me at the office. While he LOVES coming to work, we've figured out that his personality fits best with a more interactive style of therapy. Our goal is to get certified as an Animal-Assisted Play Therapy team, which will include further off leash training for him and development of new therapeutic techniques for me. We can't wait!

*Clients are always welcome to opt-out of Smokie or Levi being in session.*
